To be eligible to stay at Honour House you must be a member of one of the following groups:
Regular Force and Reservist members of the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force)
Emergency Services (Paramedic, Police Officer, Firefighter)
Canada Border Services Agency
Search and Rescue
- Conservation and Protection Fishery Officers
Veterans and Retired Members of Listed Groups
You or a member of your immediate family (husband, wife, common-law partner, dependent children under the age of 18) must have a need to travel away from home to receive medical treatment in the Metro Vancouver Region.
The referral form must be fully completed and signed by a referring agent. A referring agent can be a superior officer or direct supervisor. If you are a veteran, your referral can also be signed by a Royal Canadian Legion executive member or a Veterans Affairs Manager. We will also require a copy of the letter, doctor’s note or email from your medical facility which clearly confirms the dates of your appointments.

Once received, the referral will be reviewed and a member of Honour House staff will contact you directly to let you know if your application has been approved.
Please note that the maximum length for an initial stay is two weeks and extensions are approved on the basis of room availability during the requested period of the extension.
