Honour House Society
Providing a free, temporary home away from home for Canadian Forces and Emergency Services personnel.
It was fantastic to be in Charlottetown last week for a very important conversation at the Wounded Warriors Canada Atlantic Canada First Responders Mental Health Conference.![]()
Bringing in First Responders, mental health professionals and community stakeholders is the first step in changing stigma and culture. It was profoud to be on floor at the grassroots level at the start of this conversation. Congratulations to all those involved in putting this into the world.
A special thank you to the Air Force Officers Association who stopped by Honour House to present a cheque. We are proud to partner with them and their support means that all members, both retired and serving, have a place stay when they need. ![]()
They are one of many groups to utilize our board room to conduct their meetings. If you are a member of any of the communities we serve and need a quiet and friendly place to meet, please don't hesitate to reach out. ![]()
Support from the Air Force Officers Association ensures that we will always have this space available.
A big thank you to the members of Local 258 IBEW for their great effort in raising funds for Honour House Society through their annual Hockey Tournament.![]()
This group also value the skills that veterans aquire through their service. They take an active role in recruiting to make sure that there are jobs available once their time in the forces come to and end.![]()
Thank you for the support!
Honour House Society was saddened to learn of the passing of founding board director, Ted Hawthorne.![]()
Ted was instrumental in setting up the societal status for Honour House. A well-respected member of the Honorary Colonel community. Our thoughts are with his family and everyone he had an impact on.
We absolutely love it when New Westminster Police come along with their members to give our garden and House a once-over.![]()
In just a few hours, with a dozen or so people, they can do what it takes us months to do. We are truly grateful for their partnership! ![]()

March 4th, 2026 marks the 20 year anniversary of the attack on Captain Trevor Greene in Afghanistan. ![]()
It was Trevor's journey in healing that inspired Honour House Society's founding members.![]()
We continue to be inspired everyday by his incredible journey and the strength of the entire Greene family.
