Home Away From Home
Home Away From Home

Honour House is a refuge, a “home away from home” for members of our Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, Emergency Services Personnel and their families to stay, completely free of charge, while they are receiving medical care and treatment in the Metro Vancouver area.

These brave individuals, along with their families, sacrifice so much on a daily basis to protect our freedom and our everyday way of life. Honour House allows us the opportunity to show them that we care and how much we appreciate all that they do for us.

Providing a free, temporary home away from home for Canadian Forces and Emergency Services personnel.

A message from our President, HLCol Allan De Genova:Truly, a memorable day to be with General Wayne Eyre, and thank him for all his support over the years with Honour House. Also very supportive on the initiative I promised him I would deliver as I started under his watch. It was also a privilege to meet the first female CDS of the Canadian Armed Forces, General Carignan. I am looking forward to serving in my capacity as a Honorary Lieutenant Colonel with 5th (BC) Field Regiment to help deliver the support our C.A.F. members and their families when they need a place to stay at Honour House. Along with Honour Ranch, where we will be there for our CAF members suffering from PTSD.My next challenge, I promised General Eyre is to deliver the 1500 units of affordable work force housing, so our C.A.F. members and first responders can live in the community they serve.Leaving Ottawa today optimistic on how I can delivery on the promise I made to General Eyre. ... We are very grateful for all the Royal Canadian Legion support. This incredible partnership has seen many veterans have the ability to come stay at Honour House while they deal with some very difficult situations in their personal life.
